Our 2017-18 Charity

Encore Theatre Company are proud to be supporting the Stroke Association as our chosen charity for 2017-18.

The Stroke Association is the only UK charity concerned with combating stroke in people of all ages. Your support will help them achieve their vision of a world where there are fewer strokes and all those touched by a stroke get the much needed help and support they need.

The Stroke Association’s work relies heavily on the generosity of their supporters - without you they could do very little.  Whether they are providing support through their Life After Stroke or information services, funding pioneering research, campaigning or providing Life After Stroke Grants to help improve the quality of life for stroke survivors, they rely upon voluntary income to help fund these activities.

Thank you to the following for their generous contributions towards our fundraising prize draw, with 50% of all proceeds being donated to the Stroke Association.

The show, to be performed at Castleford Phoenix Theatre from 6th to 9th June is based on the 2010 film of the same name. This strike was influential in the passing of the Equal Pay Act of 1970.
